Erin O’Donovan is senior legal counsel in the Corporate Finance Branch at the Ontario Securities Commission. The Corporate Finance Branch is responsible for regulating 1,500 non-investment fund reporting issuers and for leading issuer-related supervisory and policy initiatives. The Branch oversees the regulatory framework for securities offerings in the public and exempt markets, insider reporting, and credit rating agencies. Erin also has expertise in M&A matters, having spent more than 10 years as senior legal counsel in the Office of Mergers & Acquisitions at the Commission.

Erin is the Vice-President and a Director of the Toronto Lawyers Association. Founded in 1885 as the County of York Law Association, the TLA represents the interests of lawyers practicing in Toronto and is an advocate for improvements to the judicial system and increased access to justice.
Prior to joining the Commission, Erin practiced securities law in the Toronto office of an international law firm. Erin holds a Bachelor of Laws from Osgoode Hall Law School and a Bachelor of Arts from Dalhousie University.
