VersaBank and Stablecorp announced their strategic partnership in February 2021 to commercially launch VCAD, the first in the world digital currency issued by and representing deposits with an investment rated North American Bank. VCAD will be issued using Versabank subsidiary, DRT Cyber Inc's VersaVault technology and represents a deposit held in VersaBank, making it unique in terms of auditability and transparency in the global stablecoin space.
